Twitch will improve its eSports streams with the NewTek IP Series

On March 6th, NewTek introduced their new video production system at their headquarters in San Francisco.

What if there was no limitation on how you produce your video? What if there was no limitations from hardware, and you could utilize your sources whichever way you want to? To answer this question, Rusty Six and Kane Peterson from NewTek introduced the NewTek IP Series.

The NewTek IP Series is a software-driven production tool that provides a more effective and flexible workflow with video production. It is composed of a Video Mix Engine, a Studio Input Module, a Studio Output Module, and a 4-Stripe Control Panel. IP stands for Interconnected Production, which is the primary function of the NewTek IP Series.

The NewTek IP Series uses NDI (Network Device Interface) technology. The current NDI allows for the simultaneous release of a single video into different platforms. It is capable of releasing 1080/60i HD video with the speed of 100Mbps, with almost no delays.

In addition, the IP Series utilizes the NDITM technology to interconnect video and audio through a network system. The producers can access the input and output system and the media property to use the sources. This will allow for better and more flexible storytelling, according to NewTek.

The system also allows video editing during live streams. The producers can divide the screen, merge the screens, and make changes to the video as it is being streamed live. They can also add subtitles and special effects, without causing any delay.

“Combining SDI compatibility and IP flexibility, the NewTek IP Series integrates into your current infrastructure, while priming your facility for the future,” NewTek stated. “Your workflow and production [will] keep pace with your vision for storytelling, even in the face of a rapidly changing industry.”

The physical and logical barriers that limit the potential to expand, grow, and evolve will be removed with the NewTek IP Series. This progressive future technology will make video operations independent of format and resolution, and will also “align legacy and contemporary technologies across a simplified infrastructure to maximize resources and investments.”

Regarding the technology, Twitch, the world’s leading video platform for gamers, has announced that the NewTek IP Series will enhance the expansion of the eSports streaming business. Twitch already owns one NewTek IP Series, and is planning to utilize the device and the NDI technology to provide viewers with a more positive experience in eSports and video game streams.
