As many will have noticed, the introduction of season 3 in June saw an overhaul of the Fortnite map.
The layout was subjected to mass flooding, which has slowly subsided as the weeks have gone by.
Now, it would appear that Epic Games a taste of space with the next round of content, so expect to
see more items in the Fortnite item shop and on the battlefield.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the space content now in Fortnite.

Siona

What Siona presents is a female astronaut outfit which can be unlocked by players once they have
reached level 80. If you have been looking to play as an astronaut with a variety of different colours,
then now you can do so. Perhaps more importantly, she might also be a hint as to what we can
expect to see when the next season of Fortnite which is set to drop soon.

Other Cosmetics

It does seem to be a bit strange that we have space skins implemented so much in this season, given
that it was meant to be going for a water theme. Nevertheless, here we are with a wealth of space
content as part of the game’s “Battle Pass”.

We have the likes of the Comet Crasher glider, which is available at the rather high level of 90. Then
there’s the Planetary Vibe dance which you can get at level 84, and then the level 77 reward is the
Mini-Moon Back Bling. If contrails are more for you, then you can get Stardrop at level 43 and
Photon at level 66. If you have played the game recently, you will have noticed that there is a
Shooting Starstaff Pickaxe too, which is available free of charge.

Galaxy Cup and Space Events

A few weeks back, we saw the mid-season event known as the Galaxy Cup introduce. This allowed
players on Android devices able to battle it out for the Galaxy Scout outfit. Those who did take part
were given a Wrap for their Fortnite weapons to fit with the theme too. Following this, players
would then be able to purchase the Galaxy Scout outfit for a couple of days, along with a new glider
and harvesting tools.

The space theme as far as this year goes also stretches back to May 4 th , which saw Star Wars day
being celebrated with lightsabers being brought in as Fortnite weapons. You could also purchase
outfits based on characters such as Kylo Ren, Rey, and a Sith Trooper to really get in the mood of the
most famous space opera franchise of all time.

Space has been a theme in Fortnite seemingly throughout the game’s life-cycle. Even back in 2018,
we saw a Millennium Flacon glider, which was available for free. The same year saw astronauts
being added as part of Chapter 1 Season 3’s Battle Pass. Perhaps the most memorable feature that surrounds space came back in October 2019. The entire game was implementing comet and asteroid impacts prior, and then everything was swallowed up by a black hole which left players completely puzzled as to what had happened. Thankfully during this time, we were treated to a hidden minigame likened to Space Invaders.

The Future

Minimizing your Fortnite tracker and contemplating the future for a moment, could we potentially
see a full space theme coming to Fortnite? Given the number of items and other features
surrounding the final frontier so far, it wouldn’t be surprising if we would see this kind of overhaul.
Since the flooded map has receded over the weeks going by, it will be interesting to see where the
game goes next. Whichever way it goes, we won’t have to wait much longer, with the brand-new
season about to drop at the end of this month, so stay tuned over the next week or so to what Epic
Games has to offer.
