TSM has completed a miraculous reverse sweep against Golden Guardians in the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Summer Playoffs. Golden Guardians' season has come to an end, while TSM moves on to face Cloud9 in a match that will decide who represents North America at the 2020 World Championship alongside Team Liquid and FlyQuest.

Golden Guardians and TSM had previously met in the first match of the post-season, and the result had been a sweep in favor of GG. TSM went to the losers bracket of the LCS Summer Playoffs against Dignitas while GG moved on to face off against 1st seed Team Liquid. TSM swept DIG and TL swept GG, so both teams found themselves in a post-season rematch one week later. TSM went down 2-0 against Golden Guardians once again but managed to win three straight games to take the series.

TSM mid laner Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg was exceptional throughout the five game series. Bjergsen's Syndra, Orianna, and Azir were all immaculate throughout the series, but his signature Zilean was the linchpin for TSM's reverse sweep victory. Bjergsen absorbed more bans than all four of his teammates combined throughout the series and managed to excel nonetheless. Bjergsen was named the LCS Player of the Series for his performance.

TSM will face off next against Cloud9, who swept Evil Geniuses is an elimination match after being sent to the losers side of the bracket in a 3-1 loss to FlyQuest. The winner of the match between C9 and TSM will be the third team who represents NA alongside FLY and TL at Worlds 2020.
