DWG Canyon on opponent's Malzahar: "ShowMaker was overly happy that Voidlings also grant TF passive gold."

On the 9th (KST), DAMWON Gaming swept Afreeca Freecs in the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Summer Split. It was a very quick victory in which the second game ended in 23 minutes. The best player of the match this day was jungler Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu. With Lee Sin and Nidalee, Canyon certainly dominated the Rift and was voted as the Player of the Game for both games. After the match, Canyon was interviewed by the casters’ desk.

How do you feel about today’s win?

It’s good that we got a 2-0 victory. I’m happy that we ended early.

Lee Sin and Nidalee often can’t do anything on the Rift but you were very confident in picking them and carrying.

Since our laners made the fights advantageous, I was able to fight well with Lee Sin and Nidalee.

It seems that your form is better so suddenly.

It was really regretful that I didn’t do well in the spring. I was really sorry to my teammates and coaches so I worked harder.

Nuguri suddenly appeared in mid lane in game 1. How did it happen?

Nuguri said that Renekton is hard to kill, so he said that he’ll be coming to mid. I think that play contributed massively in winning the game.

How was playing against mid Malzahar in game 2?

We were aware of unconventional picks of Fly, but when they locked in Malzahar, ShowMaker was overly happy that Voidlings also grant Twisted Fate passive gold. (Laughs)

Today’s match was extremely fast.

We all went well together with our advantages, so I think that’s why it ended early.

Was there anybody that you wanted to show today’s match?

Our coach. He trusted me and gave me a lot of good advice. I think that was why I was able to carry today.

How would you rate your performance today?

I think today’s performance would be about nine out of ten.

The next match is against DRX.

We also think DRX is really good. I believe the match would be very difficult. Still, we’ll do our best and win at all costs.

Lastly, a word to the fans?

Although you’re not able to come to LoL Park, thank you for always cheering for us.
