Gen.G Bdd: "No matter which team we’re facing, we know that as we don’t make mistakes early on, we’ll win."

Source: LCK Broadcast

On the 27th (KST), Gen.G faced off against SeolHaeOne Prince in week 2 of the 2020 LCK Summer split. With a set score of 2-0, Gen.G quickly decimated his opponents and showed why they're the top contenders of the LCK.

Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong, who was named Player of the Game (POG) for both games, joined the official broadcast for a post-match interview.

Thoughts on the victory?

Today’s match was very important, and I’m glad that we won.

It seems that the ‘fast-paced’ Gen.G has returned.

Both us and SeolHaeOne love to skirmish, and we’re just glad that the match finished so quickly.

You played Taliyah in game 1 today. Can you tell us more about it?

When I practiced her in solo queue, not only is Taliyah a good pick against mage champions, we can flex her as a jungler as well, so I decided to play her today.

When you played Taliyah in game 1, you babysat the bot lane a lot. Is that how she should be played in general? Or is it because it was against SeolHaeOne?

We tend to move towards where fights break out, and SeolHaeOne’s bot lane seemed to fit that criteria, so that’s why I shifted my focus towards the bot lane.

It also looked like you had vision on the enemy jungler for the most of the game. Is it something that you practice?

No matter which team we’re facing, we know that as we don’t make mistakes early on, we’ll win.

Not only is Ruler’s Ashe 4-0, and many people are saying that he’s at the peak of his form.

Ruler’s always been good, so there isn’t much to say about it.

You were also named Player of the Game (POG) in game 2, so did he complain about it at all?

Because he’s a perfectionist, Ruler complained that he got caught out due to his own mistake in game 1, so he didn’t say anything about it.

If you were to vote on who the POG is for game 2, would you vote for Ruler?

Because Ruler did get caught out towards the end of the game, I wouldn’t give it to him.

Rascal played Karma top with Grasp of the Undying. Is it a pick that you’ve been practicing?

We’ve always played her in scrims, and the stars aligned for him to play Karma.

In your last interview, you rated yourself 5/10 against DAMWON for the team’s performance, and 1/10 in your personal performance. How would you rate today’s match?

I got too excited in game 1, so I would give myself a 1.5/10

Your next opponents are SANDBOX Gaming. Can you share some words of resolution?

It’s important to ride this momentum, so we’ll make sure to practice hard for it and win.
