[LCK Today] T1 give AF their first loss, DYN pushes HLE to a 4-game losing streak

On the 26th (KST), the matches of the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Summer Split was Afreeca Freecs vs T1 and Hanwha Life Esports vs Team Dynamics.

In Game 1 of the first match, T1 gave Afreeca Freecs Aphelios which was Jin “Mystic” Seong-jun’s best pick. T1 selected Ezreal-Leona in their bot lane, but the Leona pick didn’t have much impact. Afreeca Freecs went ahead with timely CCs and Leona fell behind seven levels compared to the laners at one point of the match. Afreeca Freecs didn’t have much trouble securing the Mountain Dragon soul and they were able to destroy T1’s Nexus shortly later.

Choi “Ellim” El-lim was substituted in the jungle for Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan in Game 2. They had revenge with a completely different performance. With Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok’s Twisted Fate and Lee “Effort” Sang-ho’s Alistar had perfect wombo-combos all around the Rift. Except for the death they gave up to the twin towers, T1 pulled off a near-perfect game with more than 20 kills. Game 3 was one-sided as well. T1 bothered Song “Fly” Yong-jun’s Viktor all game and snowballed to give Afreeca Freecs their first loss of the season.

In the second match, Team Dynamics swept Hanwha Life Esports. Hanwha Life Esports’ strategy was to feed Park “Viper” Do-hyeon’s Kai’Sa. They had lane priority in all lanes and went ahead. However, starting from the third dragon, Team Dynamics started to hit back. Team Dynamics took big and small skirmishes and finally turned the game around.

Hanwha Life Esports had a good start again, as Viper and Son “Lehends” Si-woo’s Xayah-Rakan duo killed their counterpart. However, Team Dynamics had hold of the top side. Especially, Lee “Rich” Jae-won’s Jayce scaled extremely well and started launching missiles. Hanwha Life Esports tried to cut off Rich’s Jayce consistently, but they were countered every time. Through the teamfight wins, Team Dynamics pushed forward and destroyed Hanwha Life Esports’ Nexus.
