Online IGEC Panel: "Social Media in Esports" goes live at 2pm PT

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Inven Global has elected to take the 2020 Inven Global Esports Conference online in the form of weekly panels streamed via Twitch & Twitter. Today's panel, 'Social Media in Esports' will be hosted by Inven Global Partnerships Manager Kelsey Remige, and will go live on Twitter at 2:00pm PT.

Kelsey Remige joined the Inven Global team at the start of 2020. Her experience in both interviewing professional players in the League of Legends Championship Series and player management at Evolved Talent Agency have helped her craft a nuanced understanding of professional representation in esports. The panel will be rounded out by four branding specialists who work for some of the top organizations in esports.

Cloud9 Senior Social Media Manager Mateus 'Portilho' Portilho originally got his start in esports social media with Immortals, and in his current position on C9 also oversees the social media for Overwatch League franchise London Spitfire and Overwatch Contenders team British Hurricane.

Dom 'AYODOM' Gardner works for esports organization Misfits as the Director of Digital Media for Overwatch League franchise Florida Mayhem. AYODOM also oversees Misfits Call of Duty League franchise Florida Mutineers, who is currently competing in the inaugural season of the new era of CoD esports.

Since its revival in partnership with National Basketball Association franchise Cleveland Cavaliers nearly two and a half years ago, 100 Thieves has been one of the hottest brands in esports. The man behind the organization's social media is known as 'Blackbeard' and previously worked for OpTic Gaming before joining 100 Thieves.

Sandra 'Whanderlust' Chen currently works as the Influencer Manager for legacy organization Team Liquid and will be able to add valuable dimension to the discussion due to the differences in her position compared to the rest of the panelists in relative terms. Before joining TL, Whanderlust ran social media for LCS team Clutch Gaming, who was acquired from NBA franchise Houston Rockets by esports organization Dignitas in mid-2019.

This panel will be choc-full of insights on how branding in esports works on a multitude of scales, so make sure to head to twitter.com/invenglobal at 2:00pm PT to tune into the 'Social Media in Esports' panel when it goes live!
