Riot Games Announces Winning Nonprofits for End of Year Charity Voting Campaign

Riot Games has revealed the 29 nonprofits that will receive top grants from its 2025 End of Year Charity Voting Campaign, an annual initiative that lets players help direct money raised for the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. The announcement was made Dec. 10, following weeks of global voting across League of Legends, VALORANT, and other Riot communities.

The company allocated more than $5 million for this year’s charity pool, gathered through various in-game fundraisers. In partnership with GlobalGiving, Riot selected 87 nonprofits across 29 regions—three per region—for players to vote on. The leading nonprofit in each region will receive 50% of its regional prize pool, while the remaining two organizations will collect 25% each. Riot also guaranteed a minimum grant of $10,000 to every participating nonprofit.

Jimmy Hahn, senior manager of Social Impact at Riot Games, thanked players for driving the results. “Thank you to every player who voted during this year's voting campaign,” Hahn said. “Through your votes and the money you raised through our in-game fundraisers, we're able to help these nonprofits continue to drive meaningful and lasting change in communities around the world.”

Regional Winners and Global Impact

Riot did not release voting totals, but confirmed that winning nonprofits represent a broad range of causes, including youth development, education, environmental work, digital literacy, and mental health support. This year’s selections reflect what the company described as “local needs identified by regional teams and community partners.”

The End of Year Charity Voting Campaign has become one of Riot’s most visible annual impact efforts. Since the Social Impact Fund was created in 2019, players have raised more than $63 million, supporting over 450 nonprofits worldwide. Riot says the fund—established with ImpactAssets—enables it to distribute resources to organizations across nearly any country and accelerate grants when urgent situations arise.

The company noted that full regional breakdowns will be published on its official website in the coming days, allowing players to see how their votes contributed to the final distribution.
