AF Ben sends a message to his bot lane partner, Mystic: "With the power of being the man of a family, let’s make sure to teach T1 a lesson."

In Day 19 of the 2020 LCK Spring split, Afreeca Freecs managed to defeat DAMWON Gaming with a set score of 2-1.

The support player for AF, Nam “Ben” Dong-hyun, started for AF in game 1, making his debut in the LCK. Although game 1 was a loss, the reunion of the former Team WE’s bot lane was a blast to the past.

Ben joined Inven Global to talk about the victory and how it felt to finally debut in the LCK.

Today was your debut match in the LCK. Although you lost the game you played, how did it feel to play in the LCK?

As tonight’s match marked my debut in the LCK, I was very nervous. I don’t think I played to the fullest of my abilities.

You reunited with your former bot lane partner from World Elite, Mystic. How did it feel?

We’re really good friends, so we kept in touch. I think that’s why it felt even more welcoming, and he helped me get used to living in the team house, so things continue to be very comfortable.

Now that you played in both LCK and LPL, what are some of the differences between the two leagues?

Personally, I feel that in the LCK, teams take fights that they know they have a high probability of winning. In the LPL, teams that are ahead really try to assert their dominance, and don’t shy away from fights coming to them.

The gold sharing Senna-Tahm Kench bot lane is on the uprising. How do you feel about this bot lane duo?

I’m uncertain on whether or not it’s good. It’ll depend on how you draft team compositions.

Your next opponent is T1. Can you share your resolutions for the next match?

We’ll come back stronger and give them a hard time maintaining first place in the standings.

T1’s bot lane is very formidable, so with the Teddy-Effort bot lane in the horizon, what would you like to say to Mystic?

With the power of being the man of a family, let’s make sure to teach T1 a lesson.

Lastly, is there anything you’d like to say to your fans?

Although the matches are being held without any audience due to the Coronavirus, I want to thank each and every one of our fans cheering for us at home. Please make sure to prioritize your health above all else, and please be patient in watching us make our way to the top. To all the Afreeca Freecs fans out there, I love you.
