Riot Games has officially introduced Veto, a new Sentinel agent for VALORANT, alongside the 11.07b update that also brings the debut of a new mode called “Brawl.” The launch marks one of the most significant meta shifts in recent patches, as Veto’s unique skill set directly counters the game’s ability-driven tactics.
According to Riot Games, the update celebrates the agent’s arrival with a “Veto Login Event,” offering tiered rewards and exclusive prizes. The company also opened a “Veto Showdown Clip Contest,” inviting players to showcase their best Veto plays for a chance to win official merchandise and Radianite Points.

Defy the Rules of Engagement!
Veto, a Sentinel hailing from Senegal, introduces an ability lineup designed around disruption and counterplay. His abilities can immobilize enemies, dismantle their setups, and neutralize their active powers. His toolkit includes:
-
Chokehold (Q): Deploys a mutagen trap that immobilizes enemies entering its radius.
-
Shortcut (C): Creates a return vortex for instant teleportation to a prior location.
-
Interceptor (E): Automatically destroys enemy walls and projectiles in range, disrupting coordinated attacks.
-
Evolution (X): His ultimate grants enhanced strength, health regeneration, and temporary immunity to debuffs.
Nicholas Smith, a VALORANT game designer, described Veto as a flexible agent who can be played defensively or aggressively. They went on to explain that his design rewards smart timing and positioning, and we can’t wait to see the creative strategies players come up with.
Coinciding with Veto’s release, Riot added “Brawl,” a stripped-down, high-intensity mode that removes the economy system and disables most agent abilities. Matches rely solely on gunplay skill, with players racing to win 10 rounds across compact, Brawl-exclusive maps.

The streamlined mode supports 1v1 to 5v5 matches, focusing on fast, tactical engagements rather than prolonged economy management. Riot said “Brawl” is designed to highlight VALORANT’s pure combat fundamentals while giving players a fresh way to enjoy short, high-stakes matches. The VALORANT 11.07b patch, featuring Veto and the new Brawl mode, is live now.
