Sega and RGG Studio's new title 'Stranger Than Heaven' has surpassed 1 million wishlists across all platforms. Based on pre-launch figures, this is the highest count among all titles developed by RGG Studio.
RGG Studio announced the wishlist milestone on the official social media channels for 'Stranger Than Heaven.' The figure combines wishlist additions across its upcoming release platforms, including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
RGG Studio expressed gratitude for players' interest, noting that it set a company record with more than four months remaining until release. Wishlists are separate from sales, serving as an indicator of how many users have added the game to their watchlists.
'Stranger Than Heaven' is an action-adventure game that spans 50 years, from 1915 to 1965. The story begins as Makoto Daito, a young boy born to an American father and a Japanese mother, leaves San Francisco for Japan.
The game is set across five cities from five eras inspired by Kokura, Kure, Osaka Minami, Atami, and Tokyo Shinjuku. Alongside combat that captures street brawling, the gameplay follows Makoto's journey as he discovers his musical talent and grows into a showman.
According to Sega's official website, the release date is January 15, 2027. It will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
