Wizards of the Coast is launching a 'Magic: The Gathering' Commander deck featuring Hatsune Miku.
The company announced on the 4th (local time) that it is releasing a ready-to-play, complete product titled 'Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku,' with orders being accepted for only 24 hours. The price is $149.99, or approximately ₩214k.
The deck is a 100-card set designed specifically for the Commander format. It focuses on token generation and life gain, with Trostani, Selesnya's Voice serving as the commander under the name 'Miku, Song of the People.' The chest includes 12 new-art foil borderless cards, 7 basic Plains and 7 basic Forest cards, 74 non-foil reprint cards, 10 double-sided tokens, and a deck box.
The order window opens at 1:00 AM KST on the 11st and closes at 12:59 AM KST on the 12nd. Wizards stated that a portion of the stock will ship immediately, while the remaining orders are scheduled for delivery in North America in May 2027, and in the European Union and the UK in June 2027.
The 24-hour order window is a new sales format for Secret Lair. Following criticism over supply policies after the 'Goblin Storm' deck released in May sold out in just 34 minutes despite a one-per-customer limit, Wizards described this sale as both a response to that feedback and an experiment.
