JOYCITY (CEO Cho Seong-won) announced on the 5th that the Prime Open Beta Test (OBT) for its next-generation soccer game, Freestyle Football 2, currently under development by its subsidiary URE, will begin on September 4.

The test will run for five days, from September 4 to 8 (KST). Ahead of the official launch, the focus will be on final verification of the cross-play environment across console and PC platforms.

Access is broad; users can join the game without restrictions via PC platforms, including Steam, as well as Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Applications for the test can be submitted in advance via the official website.

A notable aspect is the company's offline presence. JOYCITY will host a booth at PAX West 2026, a major North American game show, coinciding with the test period. The plan is to allow global gamers at the event to demo Freestyle Football 2 firsthand, creating synergy with the online test to boost the game's presence in the North American and global markets.

Kim Myung-soo, CEO of URE and the game's lead producer, stated, "Through this final cross-play check, we aim to enhance the game's polish, and by participating in PAX West, we will strive to showcase the unique, differentiated fun of Freestyle Football 2 to global gamers."
