XLGAMES has filed a new trademark based on the ArcheAge IP.

On the 15th, it was confirmed that XLGAMES filed a trademark for 'ArcheAge S: Straits of Freedom' with the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS). The subtitle 'Straits of Freedom' evokes 'Freedich Island,' a location in the ArcheAge universe known for lawlessness and conflict.

XLGAMES has previously released titles based on the ArcheAge IP, such as ArcheAge Begins and ArcheAge War, and is currently focused on developing 'ArcheAge Chronicles,' an online action RPG for PC and console.

Meanwhile, a XLGAMES representative stated, "The company is working on this next project under the leadership of Executive Producer Kim Kyung-tae, and we plan to reveal specific details about the game at an appropriate time."
