Global game publisher Gryphline announced on the 6th that it successfully concluded the first offline tournament for its 3D strategy RPG 'Arknights: Endfield,' titled 'Contingency Contract Masters: Operation Ignition Experiment.'
This tournament was an offline event where players competed to test their skills in 'Contingency Contract,' a new high-difficulty challenge mode for 'Arknights: Endfield.' It was held for pre-registered participants near Samseong Station in Gangnam District, Seoul, on the 4th and 5th.
Seventy participants, selected through an application process held from the 19th to the 23rd of last month, competed in 35 teams of two.
The venue was buzzing with energy as participants and spectators discussed strategies and operator combinations. The atmosphere was further heightened by various programs, including cheering message events, match prediction contests, and acrostic poem challenges.
Out of the 35 teams that competed in the preliminaries, 20 advanced to the main tournament, with eight teams ultimately reaching the finals by showcasing high-level play through strategic operator combinations and effective use of Contingency Contract modifiers.
In the final round, the 'Dongne Masil' team secured the inaugural championship with superior strategy and stable gameplay. The 'Kkori Sarangdan' team took second place, and the 'Ige Ming Chyeonna' team finished in third.
The winning 'Dongne Masil' team was awarded two Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphones sponsored by Galaxy Store, a cash prize of ₩7.5 million, a custom trophy, and a merchandise set. The runner-up team received ₩4.5 million, a trophy, and merchandise, while the third-place team received ₩3 million and additional prizes.
A Gryphline representative stated, "'Contingency Contract Masters: Operation Ignition Experiment' was a meaningful opportunity to meet and connect with fans of Arknights: Endfield in person. We plan to continue introducing diverse content and events that allow our users to enjoy and interact with each other both inside and outside the game."
Meanwhile, ahead of the main tournament, an influencer invitational was held on the 3rd, the first day of the event. Popular creators including Kim Nasung, Kim Tsuyu, Daju, Ddotty, MadLife, Myeongtteok, Samwe, and Hobby participated to play the Contingency Contract content, sharing their own strategies and gameplay know-how.
