TSM announced on Wednesday that they signed Braxton "brax" Pierce to their VALORANT roster. Brax is widely considered to be one of the best American talents currently competing in VALORANT and is a huge pick up for the struggling TSM VALORANT squad. Brax is expected to play in the place of James "Hazed" Cobb, who has been missing from some recent team scrimmages according to a report published by Rush B Media last week.

TSM's updated VALORANT roster includes:

  • Stephen “reltuC” Cutler
  • James “hazed” Cobb
  • Matthew “WARDELL” Yu
  • Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik
  • Taylor “drone” Johnson
  • Braxton "brax" Pierce
  • Taylor "Tailored" Broomall (Coach)

Brax was most recently competing in VALORANT for T1, but T1 dropped him from that roster in February after the team struggled to find a solid footing in the 2021 professional VALORANT scene. Before signing with T1 in VALORANT, Brax competed in professional Counter-Strike for over seven years, playing for the likes of Swole Patrol, iBUYPOWER, and compLexity Gaming.

TSM is hoping that this huge pick-up will turn around their fortunes in VALORANT. The team got off to a very strong start in 2020, winning many of the earliest VALORANT online events and entering the NA VALORANT First Strike tournament back in December of 2020 as the favorite. However, they ended up losing in the finals of that event to 100 Thieves, and most recently they failed to even qualify to the NA VCT Masters stage 1 tournament that took place in March.

With the addition of the new super-star player, TSM will now set their sights on qualifying for the VALORANT Stage 2 Masters international LAN set to take place in Reykjavik, Iceland starting on May 24th, 2021.
