Riot Games has patched the VALORANT Closed Beta with Patch 0.47+, which primarily addresses the balancing of Raze, Cypher's hilarious 'camera-gun' bug, and environmental changes. A patch during a beta phase is unusual, but the VALORANT developers have done an excellent job in responding to the community's feedback about the upcoming tactical shooter, which is set for release sometime this year.

Raze has been adjusted the most of any aspect of VALORANT in Patch 0.47+ after being deemed the strongest agent in the game by more or less the entire community. Raze is a bit too overtuned compared to the rest of the VALORANT agents, and some aspects of her kit are being toned down so she can thrive as the high-threat duelist she was intended to be without affecting game balance in every other way imaginable"

"Raze is lethal, no doubt, and we predict savvy players will perform better against her over time," said VALORANT Comms Associate Jeff Landa. "Still, we made some light changes that should bring Raze’s offensive pressure closer to the other agents."

In addition to the changes to Raze, melee damage has been doubled across the game to any structural environment, including Sage's Barrier Orb to give melee-centric agents a bit more of a fair fight in low-econ rounds. The Orb also now affects players in the air as well as on the ground to stop players from exploiting bunny-hopping through it to decrease the severity of its effect. Cypher's spy-camera bug that allows it essentially use weapons has also been fixed.

Minor map changes to Split, Haven, and Bind, as well as quality of life changes, were also made to improve VALORANT and players' ability to enjoy the game seamlessly online. The full patch notes for VALORANT Patch 0.47+ can be viewed here.
