On August 1, Roblox officially opened its first offline pop-up event in Korea, titled “READY, SET, ROBLOX.” With an average of 111.8 million daily active users globally, Roblox has become a cultural phenomenon, and this event offers fans a rare chance to engage with the platform’s immersive universe in person. The pop-up runs from August 1 to 17 at Hyundai Department Store in Pangyo.
The experience is spread across three areas—Event Hall on the basement floor, the Topaz Hall on the 10th floor, and the rooftop Sky Garden—designed to welcome both die-hard fans and casual visitors. The basement Event Hall features a game zone, photo zone, and merchandise zone. Attendees can play popular Roblox titles including Grow a Garden—which set a global record for concurrent users—along with RIVALS, FISCH, Chained, Dandy’s World, and K-Photo. Of particular note is the world premiere of Prism Runway Show, a dress-up fashion game developed by Pond Studio.

The merchandise zone features a total of 93 different items. Each day, the first 100 visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a limited “Roblox Special Goods Set.” The shop includes merchandise from top game IP collaborations, as well as branded Roblox hoodies, T-shirts, folding umbrellas, pouches, and desk pads. All visitors to the pop-up will receive one free Roblox digital asset, and those who make purchases will also be eligible for additional prizes based on their spending. Completing stamp missions at each interactive booth will unlock exclusive limited-edition gifts available only at this event.
The 10th-floor Topaz Hall hosts a series of hands-on activities, including a game challenge zone, a Photoism photo booth, and a short-form video booth. An educational exhibit focused on platform safety and digital citizenship has also been installed, aimed at promoting responsible and secure use of Roblox for users of all ages.

A series of online and offline fan events are also being held in conjunction with the pop-up. From August 2 to 17, popular Roblox creators such as Pungkeoseun, Mellow, Wangkle Sejong, Sunbi Eunnam, Bbangsin, and Sarang will appear at weekend fan meetups both on-site and online. On August 9 and 17, user-participation competitions dubbed the “Hidden Match” and “Super Match” will take place. The Super Match will feature a competitive esports-style showdown involving developers and creators of RIVALS, alongside everyday users. The event will be livestreamed on-site and on YouTube, with prizes including an invitation to Developer Day, attendance at an awards ceremony, and a special match against the RIVALS dev team.
According to Richard Chae, Country Director of Roblox Korea, the READY, SET, ROBLOX pop-up represents more than just a physical event—it’s a statement of Roblox’s emergence as a central cultural platform that bridges generations. He expressed that launching this experience in Korea held particular significance and hopes it encourages local fans to actively explore Roblox with their friends and engage with creators and influencers in new ways. Chae also emphasized Roblox’s broader goal of deepening its global connections and expanding a community where both creators and users grow together.

Pond Studio CEO Hyung Gyu Kim shared that Roblox’s core appeal lies in its ability to foster imagination, creative expression, and connection. From his perspective, the platform offers creators a virtually limitless playground for experimentation and innovation. He also expressed excitement at being able to meet the community face-to-face and hopes the pop-up inspires more users to bring their creative visions to life on Roblox.
