Call of Duty esports star Seth "Scump" Abner tweeted regarding a fine he had received recently during a sponsored stream of Raid: Shadow Legends. According to Scump, he was fined for the sponsored stream on his channel by Activision Blizzard, who runs the Call of Duty League Scump competes in, and that this fine also came during the league's off-season.
UPDATE 11/6: 100 Thieves has confirmed its acquisition of a franchise spot in the Call of Duty League and the founding of its team Los Angeles Thieves. The LA Thieves now has its own Twitter account which was used to announce the team with an accompanying video.
