In a heartwarming show of strength, Austin-based gaming and live-streaming organization One True King (OTK) successfully hosted a Lift-A-Thon, raising over $125,000 for children's charities. The event, which took place on Twitch, was another example of the power livestreaming has in fundraising.

The Lift-A-Thon, organized by Esfand, featured OTK members lifting weights for charity. With a goal of lifting one pound for every dollar donated, the event quickly gained traction as fans and followers eagerly contributed to the cause. The initial target of $100,000 was surpassed, with the final amount raised exceeding $125,000.

Established on October 11, 2020, OTK boasts an impressive roster of founding members, including Asmongold, Mizkif, Esfand, and Tips Out. Despite several changes in membership, with some members leaving and others joining, the group has continued to excel in gaming content creation.

This event is just one example of OTK's commitment to giving back through charitable efforts and collaborative streams with top creators in the space. Since its founding, the organization and its fan base have raised over $1 million for various charitable causes.

OTK has a history of incorporating fitness events into their repertoire, with the most notable example being Camp Knut. This month-long fitness journey offered participants the chance to improve their health and fitness through a carefully designed training routine and diet plan. Camp Knut was orchestrated by Norwegian bodybuilder and streamer, Knut, who guided a group of Austin natives in achieving their fitness goals.

The positive impact of fitness events on streamers is evident, as they provide a much-needed break from the stresses of their online lives while promoting overall well-being. This sentiment was echoed by Mizkif, who tweeted out, "Camp Knut is the best thing that has ever happened to me. For the past year I’ve been stressed out of my mind all day and I felt myself drifting from my old self. Knut saved me. And I’m so proud of my friends/the community getting involved, and using Twitch for positivity."
