NEOWIZ (co-CEOs Kim Seung-chul and Bae Tae-geun) announced on the 15th that its online MMORPG 'New Cheonsangbi' is launching a massive event and update to mark its 25th anniversary. The event was designed to express gratitude to users who have been with the game for 25 years and to support the growth of new and returning players.

First, all users can receive a '25th Anniversary Bond Chest' from the main event NPC in Luoyang. Opening it grants a limited-edition 25th-anniversary 'Bond Spirit', a limited 'Bond Guardian Spirit', and 2500 'Silver Shortening Charms'. Characters who use the chest are automatically entered into a merchandise giveaway, where selected users will receive a 'New Cheonsangbi Goods Package' featuring a desk mat, mug, power bank, and keychain.

A 'Rice Cake Delivery' minigame, inspired by past player experiences, has also been introduced. Players who deliver rice cakes to a hungry swordsman within 5 minutes while avoiding monsters and traps can receive the 'Memory Dried Persimmon' (HP recovery item) and 'Memory Hotteok' (internal energy recovery item).

A special attendance and character collection event is also underway. Players receive a '25th Anniversary Attendance Box' for logging in daily, with additional rewards, such as a 25th-anniversary limited Title, provided based on consecutive attendance. By collecting character items—'2', '5', '주', '년', '기', '념'—through hunting and wooden dummy training, players can exchange them for a '25th Anniversary Box,' which contains items like a Dimensional Transfer Ticket and Restoration Coupons.

Benefits for new and returning users have been significantly enhanced. The previous website application process has been removed, allowing users to receive benefits immediately upon logging into the game. Eligible users can obtain a 'New Returnee Chest', Beginner's Orbs, Reincarnation Rings, and returnee-exclusive Bagua through the Elysea Fairy NPC in Luoyang. Additionally, a screenshot event has been organized where players can verify their 'Bond Spirit (Light)' on the official website ​Until the regular maintenance on July 23, a 2x EXP hot time will be applied, along with various growth buffs.

Content updates for the 25th anniversary are also being introduced. The maximum character growth stage has been expanded with the addition of the 8th-tier Immortal, 'Yeolhacheonjon'. Achieving this stage unlocks the new 'Single Strike' system and allows the use of four new martial arts: Heaven's Block, Divine Eye, Immortal Aura, and Heaven-Breaking Strike.

The newly revealed 'Guangdong Province' region consists of a main village, dungeons, and fields, offering higher EXP and essential growth items compared to existing regions. Alongside this, the new top-tier equipment grade 'Divine 3rd Tier Primordial Star Soul' and region-specific side quests have been added. The 'Communication' update also improves convenience features, including transformation quests and UI modifications.
