With about 150 days left until launch, the year's most anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA6), will officially open for pre-orders on June 25.
Rockstar announced the GTA6 pre-order date on the 18th via its social media channels and YouTube. Pre-orders will be available through digital stores and select retailers, including the PlayStation Store and the official Xbox store, starting on that date.
Alongside the pre-order announcement, the official website has been updated. The Korean version of the site now displays a message on the main screen confirming the June 25 pre-order date, suggesting the schedule will apply globally. Rockstar Games also unveiled the official cover art, which features not only Jason and Lucia but also other characters, such as club owners Boobie Ike and Raul Bautista from Vice City.
The announcement of the official pre-order date has heightened expectations that the game will launch as scheduled without further delays. After a long development period, GTA6 was initially slated for a 2025 release but had been pushed back twice, first to May 26, 2025, and then to November 19, 2026.
Meanwhile, with pre-orders underway, marketing efforts for the summer season—as previously hinted at by Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick—are expected to ramp up soon. Fans are also eagerly anticipating the release of a new trailer in the near future.
Set in the fictional state of 'Leonida,' which is based on Florida, GTA6 is scheduled for release on PS5 and XSX|S on November 19.
