Many dream of being a cat owner, but the reality isn't always easy. For those people, here are two new Steam games.

'Meowgic' is a co-op fantasy game where you cast spells by speaking into your microphone, similar to the viral hit 'Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.' The biggest difference, of course, is the cats. Players use their voices to trigger magic and engage in co-op play, but the core hook is that the protagonists are cats.

The main gameplay involves up to four players riding a hot air balloon to explore floating islands and various dungeons. Because the magic affects other cat mages, the game captures the unpredictable situations and resulting comedic twists typical of indie co-op games.

While 'Meowgic' lets you become a cat, this next game is about watching the lives of cats. 'Cat Isle' is a pixel-art management simulation created by a two-person team in Brazil, and it's a completely different experience. The developers were inspired by Japan's famous Aoshima Cat Island, setting the game on a small train platform in the middle of the ocean.

Players must observe the cats to figure out what they want, place items accordingly, and gradually develop the village. It's a heartwarming, healing game where simply watching the cute pixel-art cats go about their business is enough to soothe the soul.

Valve kicked off the 'Steam Train Fest' on the 21st. Running until the 28th, the festival highlights titles where trains, railways, or train stations are central to the gameplay or story. Games where other modes of transport like buses or airplanes take center stage are excluded. The sale features a wide variety of genres, from railway management simulations and toy train assembly to subway/tram operation and visual novels set in train stations. You can pick up titles at a discount, starting with the recently released and well-received 'Densha Attack!', as well as staples like 'Train Sim World 6', 'Beholder: Conductor', and 'Unrailed 2'.

The simulation game 'Bookshop Simulator' has officially launched after its time in Early Access. Developer Blep Games released the 1 version about 10 months after starting Early Access last September. This update adds up to 4-player multiplayer, a new branch set in the Cotswolds, UK, and new magazine items. Additionally, a new store layout featuring a two-story structure and a separate storage area has been implemented. Existing Early Access save data can be carried over to the 1 version. The Early Access version maintained a 'Very Positive' rating with over 1k reviews, and the full release is currently enjoying the same 'Very Positive' reception.
