On the 8th, Lion defeated Team Secret Wales (TSW) 3-0 in the second round of the lower bracket at the 2026 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) Bracket Stage, held at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) Exhibition Center II in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. While TSW held their own in teamfights, Lion was clearly a cut above in terms of precision.
Lion breathed a huge sigh of relief in Game 1, securing a victory that had nearly slipped through their fingers thanks to a Baron steal. Lion had maintained a slim lead through superior tower management, but they lost momentum instantly after a disastrous teamfight over the third Dragon. TSW attempted to seal the game with a Baron take, but 'Saint' Kang Seong-in’s Taliyah stole it, turning the tide in Lion's favor. Lion also secured the Dragon Soul and, following a decisive victory in a top-lane teamfight, pushed straight into the base to end the game.
In Game 2, with Camille and Bard appearing as Supporters, both teams traded kills across the map in a tense early game. The turning point was 'Docla's' Gnar. After making his presence felt with a solo kill in the top lane, 'Docla' pulled off a highlight-reel play: when 'Saint's' Orianna was caught in a 1v4 situation and threatened by a tower dive, 'Docla' used Teleport to intervene and secure the kill. Lion then went on a winning streak, widening the gold gap to 10,000, and took the second game to reach match point.
In what could have been the final game, Game 3, Lion struck first once again. During a teamfight for the Voidgrubs, 'Saint's' Ahri and 'Berserker' Kim Min-cheol's Ziggs picked up crucial kills and assists. From there, they snowballed their lead by racking up kills in local skirmishes, spearheaded by 'Inspire's' Nocturne. They also shut down TSW’s hopes of stacking Dragons with ease. Around the 32-minute mark, Lion orchestrated a picture-perfect teamfight in the mid lane, charged into the enemy base, and put an end to the series.
