Netmarble has rolled out a major in-game update for its action title Solo Leveling: ARISE, adding a new SSR hunter alongside expanded story content, gameplay enhancements and limited-time events. The update debuts Lennart Niermann, a wind-type SSR mage known as Richter Guild’s S-rank hunter and guild master of Germany’s top guild. Niermann specializes in mana-based combat and delivers battlefield dominance with abilities culminating in Todes-Symphonie, which spawns magical duplicates to strike foes across the field.
Story content from Chapters 24 and 25 released in May becomes available in Reverse Mode on Normal and Hard difficulties. Completing the Workshop of Brilliant Light Distorted Sanctuary on Normal unlocks a new Hard difficulty. The update also introduces Higos as a boss challenge within Encore Missions mode, testing players’ skills.
System overhauls include refined gem mechanics, allowing promotion and refinement for Rank 6 gems. A revamped artifact management system merges salvage and sell functions, letting players choose between Gold or Artifact Enhancement Chips when salvaging. The management interface supports locking or deselecting all artifacts en masse.
Players can engage in limited-time events. Check-in and daily mission events under “A New Start!” offer rewards for logging in and completing objectives. Dedicated celebrations for Lennart Niermann include the Growth Tournament and a Rate Up Celebration featuring a special dice event. The “Workshop of Brilliant Light Yogumunt” wanted event rewards the fastest dungeon clear with an exclusive costume.
Solo Leveling: ARISE adapts the popular webtoon into an action game, where players assume Jinwoo’s role to battle monsters, level up, and customize combat with diverse skills and weapons. The game allows teaming up with webtoon hunters and summoning an Army of Shadows via the signature command: Arise.
