Interview with Saebyeolbe, Mano, Fl0w3R after their AMA: “There will be more Korean players in OWL”

Inven Global held an AMA with Saebyeolbe, Mano, and Fl0w3R, 3 players from Team South Korea for the Overwatch World Cup and NYXL on November 13th and 14th (KST).

As these pros were known for their humor, the AMA with them was such a delight; SBB answered his fan’s jokes with jokes in return, bringing out many smiles and laughter, while Mano and Fl0w3R gave answers that were sometimes serious, and sometimes fun.

Here is the interview we had with them after their AMA!

You just finished your AMA with your fans from overseas. How was it?

SBB:
It was really great that I could communicate with my fans, and any opportunities like this are always welcome.

Mano: This was my first time doing an AMA with fans from overseas, which was really interesting and fun. I hope my answers helped satisfy their curiosity.

Fl0W3R: This was the first time for me, doing a live AMA like this, so it felt completely different. I was also surprised that I had many foreign fans.

What was the question that left the biggest impression on you?

SBB:
For me, it was “태어나줘서 고마워 (Thank you for being brought into this world)”. I am grateful that there is someone aside from my parents who would say that to me.

Mano: The question about the best and worst moment left the biggest impression on me since it made me remember the feelings at the time, and the situation.

Fl0W3R: I think the questions about school left the biggest impression since I’m still a student.

(To SBB) There were especially many times that Sinatraa was mentioned; how do you feel about him?

SBB:
He is a good player, but I feel that it is a bit difficult to compare him to the best Korean Tracers.

(To Mano) There were many fans that loved your smile; is there anything you’d like to say to them?

Mano:
Thank you so much for seeing me like that. (Laughs)

There are only 4 non-Korean teams in Season 1, while there are 3 teams with only Korean players. Do you think that there will be more as the season passes?

SBB:
Wouldn’t that be so? There are still many talented players in South Korea, and there will be more teams wanting players like that, depending on their results for the season. I just hope that it doesn’t turn out like Starcraft 2, though.

Mano: Won’t there be a system similar to the quota system later in the future? If it does happen, then I think as many Korean players as possible will be recruited in that quota.

Fl0W3R: Wouldn’t at least one player be recruited for each team? Things may be different depending on the team results, but I think that’s what is going to happen.

There were many questions about the teams you’d like to play against or which team will become your rival in OWL. Who would you pick as your rival personally?

SBB:
I think I, myself, would be my rival… Kidding, I’ll have to see to know. (Laughs)

Mano: I think maybe Fissure or Miro might become my rival, although I will keep on trying to become the top main tank that everyone approves of in the future.

Fl0W3R: I’m not sure yet. I think I’ll have to see later then.

You will be going to the U.S soon. Is there anything you'd like to say lastly before you go?

SBB:
I hurt my back before my departure, and being healthy is the best thing in the world. I hope my fans put taking care of themselves as the top priority.

Mano: It may be hard to play in matches in another country, but I will return to my fans with a good performance by adapting and practicing well.

Fl0W3R: I think all we have left now is to win. I will try my best to show our fans us winning.
