NEXUS adds collectible RPG Myth Legends to CROSS blockchain platform

South Korean blockchain games company NEXUS has added the collectible role-playing game (RPG) Myth Legends to its CROSS platform.

Developed by Soul Dargon Limited, Myth Legends blends idle progression — where characters keep gathering resources and growing even when the player is away — with real-time combat. According to a release, the game is built to reward short play sessions, with idle systems handling resource collection in the background. Its battles turn on how players position characters across four classes and seven factions to build synergies.

CROSS is NEXUS's blockchain-based gaming platform, which lets individual games issue and trade their own digital tokens. Myth Legends runs on a tokenomics model — the system that governs how an in-game currency is created, earned and spent — centred on a currency called Ruby. According to the release, Rubies are earned through play and can either be spent on character upgrades or converted into the game's token, Myth Coin, for use across the CROSS ecosystem. NEXUS says a daily cap on how many Rubies can be turned into Myth Coin is designed to keep the in-game economy stable over the long term.

Alongside the launch, NEXUS said integration with the wider CROSS ecosystem is now live. The company is leaning on its streamer platform, CROSS Wave, and its quest-and-reward platform, CROSS Play, to drive sign-ups and keep players engaged.

What's next for NEXUS and CROSS

Myth Legends is the latest in a steady run of titles NEXUS has brought onto CROSS, following recent additions such as collectible RPG Throne of Chaos and idle RPG Idle Fantasy. The drive comes after the company upgraded to Mainnet 2.0 — a shift meant to reward active participation rather than simply holding tokens — and launched its CROSS GameHub storefront.

The onboarding also lands as NEXUS reshapes its wider business. In June, the firm agreed to buy South Korean app marketplace ONE Store — which it says has more than 38m installs — for around ₩62.6bn (~£36m), taking an 89.03% stake. As a result, CROSS is set to be rebranded OneChain, with its $CROSS token renamed $ONE. NEXUS Founder Henry Chang, who previously ran Korean games company WEMADE and is credited as the architect of its Wemix blockchain network, said the company would keep pushing until it became "the world's No. 1 game platform."
