Publisher 505 Games announced Tuesday that update 1.4.5, titled “Bigger and Boulder,” is now available for Terraria on PC, consoles, and mobile devices. The update introduces crossover content from Palworld and Dead Cells, alongside new items, gameplay adjustments, and world-generation features.
The crossover additions bring familiar elements from other popular titles into Terraria’s 2D sandbox. Content inspired by Palworld includes themed creatures and related items, while Dead Cells contributes new weapons and combat-focused accessories. According to the publisher, these additions are designed to integrate naturally with existing progression rather than function as standalone novelties.
First released in 2011, Terraria has continued to receive major updates long after its initial launch, helping it remain one of the most enduring success stories in the action-adventure sandbox genre. The game is developed by Re-Logic on PC, with console and mobile versions handled by DR Studios.

Beyond new crossover content, update 1.4.5 places a strong emphasis on refinement and player-requested improvements. The developers describe the update as a balance between meaningful new additions and polish, addressing long-standing community feedback with adjustments that aim to improve moment-to-moment play.

The update expands Terraria’s already extensive content library, which includes more than 5,000 items, over 25 non-playable characters, and hundreds of enemies. New additions in version 1.4.5 include 15 furniture sets, five new boulder variants, four transformation mounts, new whips and Summoner prefixes, as well as additional critters, kites, and decorative elements.
World creation also sees notable changes. Players can experiment with new world seeds, including a Skyblock-style option, alongside a revamped world creation menu and refinements to existing seeds. These changes are intended to offer more flexibility and replayability for both new and returning players.
Additional updates include weapon reworks, balance tuning, visual updates to classic sprites, and a broad range of quality-of-life improvements. A new trailer highlighting the update’s features is available on YouTube.
