Nina and Vader Win 2025 Milk Cup at TwitchCon San Diego

The Milk Cup returned for its second annual women’s Fortnite LAN on Saturday, Oct. 18, bringing together 50 duos—100 of the top women competitors—for an action-packed showdown at TwitchCon San Diego. The high-stakes finale ended with players Nina and Vader taking home the championship trophy and a share of the $300,000 prize pool, the largest ever awarded in a U.S. women’s Fortnite series.

The pair outlasted a field that included 66% returning finalists from last year, representing 14 U.S. states. Nina also earned the MVP Award for her consistent gameplay and clutch eliminations throughout the season, while MiniMikae1a received the Sportsmanship Award for outstanding conduct and teamwork.

The Milk Cup’s Breakthrough Year

This year’s Milk Cup was able to achieve several milestones for women’s esports. The event became the first third-party Fortnite tournament to be broadcast on the official Fortnite channels, signaling a major step forward for visibility and inclusivity within the competitive scene. The 2025 season drew 4.3 million total views, boosted by content creators and community engagement across multiple platforms.

Among the streamers amplifying the event were LuluLuvely, HappyHappyGal, AussieAntics, OliverOG, Zemie, Viancyy, and Khanada, who hosted co-streams and watch parties for their audiences. The Milk Cup community also grew rapidly, with its official Discord server seeing a 172% increase in members compared with last season and 28 hours of organized scrimmages logged between May and October.

On-site at TwitchCon, organizers distributed 100 samples of “Milk Energy – The OG Energy Drink,” a limited-edition lactose-free strawberry milk developed by Gonna Need Milk. Marketed as a nutrient-rich alternative to caffeinated beverages, it aims to provide sustained focus without the typical energy drink crash.

As the 2025 season wraps, the Milk Cup continues to build momentum for women’s competitive Fortnite, marking another significant stride toward parity and recognition in esports.
