2025 LCK Challenger Series: Teams, Groups, and Schedule

The 2025 League of Legends official “second division” circuit, the LCK Challenger Series (“2025 LCK CL”), will resume competition beginning Monday, July 21, with the start of Round 3 of the regular season.

 

The LCK CL concluded its Round 2 slate on Friday, May 30. Based on teams’ combined records from Rounds 1 and 2, the ten participants were re-split into two pools— the “Challenge Group” and the “Trial Group”—for the remainder of the season.

 

Challenge Group (5 teams):

  • KT Rolster

  • DRX

  • BNK FEARX Youth

  • T1 Esports Academy

  • Gen.G Global Academy

 

Trial Group (5 teams):

  • DN Freecs

  • OKSavingsBank BRION

  • Hanwha Life Esports

  • Nongshim RedForce

  • Dplus KIA

 

From July 21 onward (Rounds 3–5), each group will play a triple round-robin within itself. Final standings will determine which teams advance directly to the Playoffs and which must compete in the Play-In stage:

 

  • Challenge Group 1st–2nd: advance directly to Playoffs Round 2

  • Challenge Group 3rd–4th: enter Playoffs Round 1

  • Challenge Group 5th & Trial Group 1st–3rd: begin in the Play-In, fighting for Playoffs berths

 

Revised Match Schedule & Broadcast Details

Starting in Round 3, LCK CL matches run Monday through Friday each week:

  • Monday & Tuesday: live from WDG Studio Hongdae (Mapo, Seoul) at 5 PM and 7 PM KST

  • Wednesday–Friday: single match each day at 2 PM KST, with select games available via co-streaming

  • July 21 (Mon), 7 PM KST: Challenge Group clash—DRX vs. KT Rolster

  • July 22 (Tue), 5 PM KST: Challenge Group—Hanwha Life Esports vs. OK Savings Bank Breon

  • July 22 (Tue), 7 PM KST: Challenge Group—BNK FEARX Youth vs. Gen.G Global Academy

 

“LCK Roadshow 2025 – T1 Home Ground”

From Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27, the “LCK Roadshow 2025 – T1 Home Ground” event will feature both primary LCK matches and select LCK CL contests:

  • July 25 (Fri), 1 PM KST: T1 Esports Academy vs. Gen.G Global Academy

  • July 27 (Sun), time TBD: T1 Esports Academy vs. DRX

 

Ticketing Information

  • Tickets go on sale via TicketLink 72 hours before each match and may also be purchased at on-site kiosks.

  • Price: KRW 10,000 for Reserved (R) seats; limit of 4 tickets per person.

The 2025 LCK CL is organized and promoted by the LCK League Corporation, overseen operationally by the Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA), produced by WDG, and sponsored by Woori Bank.
