Smilegate announced on Wednesday, the 29th, that it will meet North American users at 'Anime Expo 2026,' the largest subculture festival in North America, held in Los Angeles this July. The company will showcase two titles: 'Chaos Zero Nightmare' and 'Miraesi: The Invisible Future' (hereinafter 'Miraesi').
Smilegate launched a special Anime Expo brand page today (the 29th), unveiling the participating IPs and introductory videos. This marks Smilegate's first-ever participation in Anime Expo.
Anime Expo is North America's largest animation, game, and subculture festival, held annually in July at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It attracts hundreds of thousands of global fans and industry professionals each year; this year's event will run for four days, from July 2 to July 5.
Smilegate will host a booth featuring both Chaos Zero Nightmare and Miraesi. The booth will feature various experiential events, merchandise giveaways, and cosplay activities. Miraesi will also offer a demo zone where attendees can play the game firsthand. Further details regarding on-site events will be released sequentially on the brand page.
Meanwhile, Miraesi is a new subculture collectible RPG developed by Control Nine and currently being prepared for service by Smilegate. The game drew significant attention when it was showcased at last year's Tokyo Game Show and AGF, and it is also notable for the participation of Art Director Kim Hyung-seop (Hyeolla), who has a dedicated fanbase. The game depicts an adventure across time to prevent the extinction of humanity and is set to offer a unique experience by combining a real-time turn-based combat system with time-travel mechanics.
Kazena is a dark fantasy roguelike RPG developed by Super Creative and serviced by Smilegate. Since its release on October 22 of last year, it has been well-received in 173 countries worldwide, including North America, Japan, and South Korea. To celebrate its half-anniversary, the game will launch a major update titled 'ARISE' on April 29, alongside an offline event. Among the new content, the 'Sortie' mode—which maximizes the fun of the roguelike genre—and the new seasonal combatant 'Heidemarie' are drawing particular interest. Additionally, the game is hosting a free recruitment (summon) event for up to 70 attempts, an attendance event that rewards players with a 5-star combatant and partner, and a 'Selective Recruitment' event totaling 200 attempts. In the Selective Recruitment event, players can perform 200 free recruitments and choose one of the 10-pull results to keep.
Ino Joo, Director at Smilegate, stated, "As this is a valuable opportunity for Smilegate to meet North American and global users at Anime Expo for the first time, we will do our utmost until the July event to present a rich and high-quality booth. We ask for your continued interest in the new updates regarding our booth that will be shared through the brand page."
