Night Street Games has officially released its debut title, 'Last Flag,' today. The game is a 5v5 team-based capture-the-flag shooter set in a 1970s game show, where eccentric contestants compete for the flag. Last Flag is currently available for Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S scheduled for this summer.
Capture-the-flag is the core of the gameplay in Last Flag. Players compete across expansive, intricately designed outdoor battlefields, each featuring hidden secret areas. The basic rules are simple: hide your team's flag, retrieve the enemy's flag, bring it back to your base, and defend it for one minute to win. Capturing radar towers helps track the enemy flag's location and secures intermediate respawn points. Combat is chaotic and action-packed, featuring intense attacks and destructive finishing moves.
"It's hard to find the words to describe finally sharing a project that we've poured our hearts into for years," said Mac Reynolds, co-founder and CEO of Night Street Games. "My core memories are from childhood, spent immersed in Sierra Online and LucasArts games, or playing GoldenEye, Out of This World, and Unreal Tournament. Being able to leave our own mark is a dream come true, and I am grateful to work with such an incredible team. I hope players can feel that passion through the game."
Last Flag is available in two editions, both of which are 20% off until April 21.
- Standard Edition: Includes the base game, 9 contestant characters, 2 launch maps (the abandoned mining town 'Copper Falls' and the frozen castle and village 'Snowfield'), over 200 cosmetic items earnable through gameplay, and all future character, map, and game mode additions.
- Supporter Edition: Includes everything in the Standard Edition, plus the original soundtrack, exclusive skins for each contestant, unique victory poses, finishing move animations, dance animations, and player icons.
Last Flag contains no paid battle passes, season passes, pay-to-win elements, or microtransactions. Instead, players can earn over 200 cosmetic rewards simply by playing.
Night Street Games has also announced two major free updates for this summer, which will include a new map, a 10th contestant character, a new capture-the-flag variant mode, and additional cosmetic rewards.
The Last Flag original soundtrack was produced by Dan Reynolds, Grammy-nominated producer JT Daly (Benson Boone, K.Flay, Bully), and Dave Lowmiller (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Battlefield, Dead Space). The team used authentic vintage instruments to capture the distinct sound of the 1970s, with some tracks featuring vocals from the game's own voice actors. The Supporter Edition includes 10 official soundtrack songs and 12 bonus tracks derived from Dan Reynolds' early prototypes.
