Blizzard Entertainment has launched 'Reign of Talon - Season 2: Summit,' the follow-up to Season 1 of Overwatch. This second season introduces a variety of updates, including the new hero Sierra, an in-game event detailing her backstory, the return of the post-match endorsement system, map reworks, new Mythic items, stadium updates, and spring-themed skins.
■ New Damage Hero: Sierra

A new hero, Sierra, joins the roster. As the former head of security at Watchpoint: Grand Mesa, Sierra’s fight against Talon continues into the present day. She carries a complex past, as her mother was the first test subject for a soldier enhancement program. After years of searching for answers, Sierra followed clues that led her to Jack Morrison and Gabriel Reyes; she joined Overwatch on the condition that they tell her everything they know.
Optimistic, confident, positive, and passionate, Sierra is a hero who adapts well under pressure. She leads Overwatch to victory armed with her rifle, her combat drone 'Dorothy,' and a sharp wit.
■ Operation: Grand Mesa Event

To mark Sierra's arrival, a three-week solo event will unfold, exploring the story following her conflict with Talon. In 'Operation: Grand Mesa,' players can unlock story segments and earn various loot by playing matches and completing specific challenges, which provide insight into who Sierra is and why Grand Mesa is such a significant location.
Operation: Grand Mesa runs from today, the start of Season 2, through May 4.
■ Post-Match Endorsements and Update Details

The post-match endorsement system has returned, allowing players to commend those who performed impressively in battle. After the 'Play of the Game,' players can vote for teammates or opponents who stood out, and the MVP will be featured in a dynamic animated spotlight before the match concludes.

Additionally, the Antarctic Peninsula has been reworked to allow for cleaner engagements, smoother team pushes, and the creation of key flanking routes across the frozen landscape.

Season 2 introduces Soldier: 76’s first Mythic skin, 'Current Overload,' a futuristic fantasy design crackling with electricity, as well as Genji’s Mythic 'Sumi-Ichimonji' weapon skin, which features ink-wash and blade-themed effects.

The stadium continues to evolve with the arrival of Ramattra, and the vibrant Lijiang Night Market has been reborn as a new Control map. Furthermore, Jetpack Cat is set to make a spectacular appearance in the stadium mid-season.

The 'Cherry Blossom Collection' brings a bright and beautiful spring to the battlefield from April 15 to May 5. Heroes including Hanzo, Genji, Freya, Juno, Emre, and Junker Queen will head into battle wearing traditional-style skins inspired by beautiful cherry blossoms. The collection offers a variety of styles, ranging from bright and cheerful designs to sophisticated attire, capturing the essence of spring.

Overwatch x LE SSERAFIM returns to the battlefield from April 15 to 28, bringing back their signature energy, stage presence, and bold, beautiful style. The returning crossover pack includes 15 dazzling Legendary skins, including 'FEARLESS,' 'Blue Flame,' and the original collaboration skins.
