As Week 2 of the 2026 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific Kickoff concluded in Seoul, Korean teams experienced sharply different outcomes as the race for seed positions intensified. Nongshim RedForce continued its strong run with another decisive victory, while T1 extended its tournament life through back-to-back wins. Gen.G and DRX, meanwhile, slipped into the lower bracket, where elimination now looms.
The second week of competition was held from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1 at the SOOP Coliseum in Seoul. The event serves as the opening tournament for the Pacific league season, determining seeding for the first international Masters event of the year.
Nongshim RedForce advanced to the upper-bracket final after defeating Full Sense 2-0 on Saturday. The series opened with a tightly contested overtime map before Nongshim pulled away decisively in the second, closing it out 13-2. The win kept the team unbeaten in the tournament and positioned it one victory away from securing the No. 1 seed from the Pacific region.

T1, on the other hand, took a more difficult path forward. After falling earlier in the event, the team remained alive by defeating both Gen.G and DRX in consecutive matches, showing resilience under pressure.
2026 VCT Pacific Kickoff – Week 2 Recap
T1’s week began with a highly anticipated matchup against Gen.G, where it rebounded from an early deficit to claim a 2-1 comeback victory. The result halted Gen.G’s momentum and pushed the team into the lower bracket. T1 followed that performance with a 2-0 win over DRX on Sunday, marking a rare head-to-head victory after years of struggles against the longtime Pacific contender.
With those wins, T1 advanced to the mid-bracket semifinals and will next face Paper Rex, which dropped down from the upper bracket after a loss. The match will determine which team remains in contention for a top seed.

For Gen.G and DRX, the losses came at a steep cost. Both teams now sit in the lower bracket, where any additional defeat will result in elimination from the Kickoff. Gen.G is set to face BBL Esports, while DRX awaits the winner of Team Secret versus ZETA DIVISION.
The VCT Pacific Kickoff continues this week, with remaining teams fighting to secure favorable positioning ahead of Masters Santiago and the rest of the 2026 competitive season.
