On the 18th (KST), DragonX has announced that they have mutually parted ways with their Top laner, Kim ‘Rascal’ Kwang-hee.

Rascal has been with DragonX for over two years. Although Rascal debuted in the LJL, DragonX was his first team, and over the years, he has shown prowess and growth with his team to become a force to be reckoned with.

Rascal commented, “DragonX was the first Korean League of Legends pro team that I’ve joined, and most of my career is with this team. Over that time, I’ve grown very fond of DragonX, and I’d like to thank the coaching staff, the management, and the fans.”

DRX stated, “We’d like to thank Rascal for his services over the years. He always provided stability for the team in the top lane. He was a solid top laner who’s always put the team ahead of himself not only in-game, but also in drafts as well. Wherever he ends up in the next phase of his career, we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. Although he’s a free agent, the DRX management will continue to negotiate with Rascal to build the best squad possible.”

Meanwhile, while DRX signed Kim ‘cvMax’ Dae-ho as their new Head Coach, they failed to renew contracts with Park ‘TusiN’ Jong-ik, Yoo ‘Naehyun’ Nae-hyun, and Moon ‘Cuzz’ Woo-chan. With 4 of their starting line-up gone, only Kim ‘Deft’ Hyuk-kyu remains with DRX.
