Hong Kong Attitude has punched its ticket to the Main Event of the 2019 League of Legends world Championship. The #3 LMS Seed made sure all three Taiwanese teams would be on the main stage of Worlds 2019 by defeating Latin American representative Isurus Gaming 3-1 in the Play-In Knockout Stage.

HKA won the first game of the series before dropping the second to ISG, but settled in and made quick work of the LAT champion. While its specific place in the Group Stage is dependent on the result of the final Play-In Knockout Stage series between Splcye and Unicorns of Love, Hong Kong Attitude is eligible to be seeded into Group A or Group C.

Hong Kong Attitude Mid Laner Chen "M1ssion" Hsiao-Hsien joined Laure "Bulii" Valée for a post-match interview stageside, and highlighted the 75% win rate blue side had in the series. "Originally, we thought red side might have been the stronger of the two, but we saw in yesterday’s games that blue side won more, so we decided too prioritize blue side ourselves today," M1ssion explained. "I'm not sure why yet, but blue side seems to be the better choice right now."

M1ssion also addressed critcisms leveled toward HKA for shallow champion pools towards the top side of the map, specifically that of Lee "Crash" Dong-woo. The Korean Jungler is nothing short of a maestro on Lee Sin, but has shown few champions outside of the Blind Monk and crucially, has yet to have consistent success that rivals Lee Sin on any other champion. Despite what's been shown on stage by HKA, M1ssion said Crash's champion pool is not a concern for the team:

"Crash’s Lee Sin is very good, but he also plays a lot of different champions, so we don’t think it will be an issue," said M1ssion. This could indicate that Hong Kong Attitude is hiding picks for its games in the Group Stage, but due to the struggles the team had throughout the Play-In, it'd be surprising to find out it had not already pulled out all the stops it had for Worlds 2019.

M1ssion also touched on his role in HKA, as well as the player who plays the role of main carry for the LMS squad. "The way i carry in the late ames is through my shot calling, but we have Unified in the late games to be our true hard carry."   HKA Bot Laner Wong "Unified" Chun Kit made good on his responsibilities against Isurus Gaming, winning all three games on three different Bot Lane mages in Vladimir, Syndra, and Veigar.

Since Wong "MnM" Ka Chun was subbed out after the first game of the Worlds 2019 Play-In, Unified has been equal parts flexible and integral for Hong Kong Attitude, showcasing proficiency on both marksmen and mages in the Bot Lane.

If HKA wants its Worlds run to continue past the Group Stage, it will need to rely on Unified as the team's reliable rock, regardless of composition, damage spread, or game state.
