[Worlds 2019] Play-In: Group B Seeds have been set for Knockout Stage

Splyce's win over Isurus Gaming in its final best-of-1 match puts the LEC representative at a record of 3-1 at the conclusion of Group B. In losing to the #3 EU seed , the Latin American champion fell to 2-2. Splyce and Isurus Gaming will qualify for the Knockout Stage as Group B's respective 1st and 2nd seed, and by escaping the Group Stage, come one step closer to the Main Event of the 2019 League of Legends World Championship.

After a first round robin split, Splyce improved upon its day one perfomance, first defeating LJL representative DetonatioN FocusMe before pushing over Isurus Gaming at its trademark, methodical pace.

Splyce's day 3 groove puts it in an optimal position to qualify for the Group Stage in the Main Event of Worlds 2019. Isurus Gaming had already punched its ticket to the Knockout Stage of the Play-In before its final match with Splyce, as its defeat of DFM in the game previous sent Japan home before any other region at Worlds. Thus, the final match of Group B was only for seeding, but looking around at the other groups, the difference of position between 1st and 2nd seeds is apparent.

2nd seeds will have to play against 1st seeds in the Knockout Stage, and with Splyce getting out of its group as the expected 1st seed itself means it avoids potential matchups with 1st seeds of other groups. Group D boasts LCK #3 seed DAMWON Gaming, and Group A's is so racked with parity its teams' relative power levels are hard to evalute. Hong Kong Attitude looks like the favorite to take Group C, but VCS #2 seed LowKey Esports has the potential to surprise.
