Gen.G / G2 / C9 / EDG and SuperMassive Will Perform in the 2018 LoL World Championship


With the 2018 League of Legends World Championship just around the corner, five more teams have secured their spot in Worlds.

The third-seed teams for the NA / EU LCS, LPL, and the LCK have been decided. In each Worlds Regional Finals, EU’s G2 Esports, NA’s C9, LPL’s EDG and LCK’s Gen.G Esports have won tickets for Worlds. Meanwhile, the champions of the TCL, SuperMassive eSports, has also qualified for Worlds as the representative of Turkey.

The third-seed teams, G2, C9, EDG, and the International Wild Card team SuperMassive will compete in Worlds beginning from the Play-In Stage which starts on October 1st. Another third-seed team, Gen.G will skip the Play-In Stage and start from the Group Stage since the LCK has been the best-performing region for the past 2 years.
