On the 12th of September (KST), one of the historical figures of the LoL scene, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok reached his 2000-day milestone.

This legendary player started his pro gaming career on April 6, 2013. Using Nidalee in the mid lane, this rookie made an unbelievable debut by scoring a solo-kill against Ambition, who was at that time one of the best performing mid laners in the LCK.

During his 2000 days in SKT, starting from the 2013 LCK Summer, he claimed countless trophies. He won his first Worlds in 2013; currently, he has a total of 3 Worlds trophies. Among them all, his 2016 was indeed exceptional. With SKT winning the Spring 2016, he also acquired 3 more titles; IEM, MSI, and Worlds.

As Faker earned international recognition, he also had chances to perform overseas like other fellow pro gamers. However, he decided to stay in SK Telecom T1 and still remains as a franchise player.

Although this LCK legend just achieved a new '2000-day career' milestone, SKT and Faker are currently going through some tough times.  With the team finishing 7th in the Summer split, today (KST) the team will soon face Gen.G Esports in the 2018 Korea Regional Qualifiers and fight for a ticket to Worlds. Despite the fact that Faker did deliver some solid performance in the Asian Games, it is not certain whether SKT will put Choi “Pirean” Jun-sik or him in the starting lineup.
