2018 Asian Games LoL Event Draw: Korea Will Face China in Group A


On the 13th of August (CST), the 2018 Asian Games esports demonstration event draw was held in China.

 

Although the Korean LoL national team advanced in 1st place for the 2018 Asian Games/East Asia Qualifiers, they have been placed in group A which possibly can be called as the “group of death”; Korea will face their traditional rivals, China who proved their competetiveness in the Qualifiers alongside with Chinese Taipai. 

In LoL group A, Korea, China, Kazakhstan, and Vietnam will compete. Meanwhile, in group B, Pakistan, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Chinese Taipei have been placed.

In the tournament group stage, teams in each group will face each other twice. The top 2 teams for each group will advance to the semifinals; first place for group A will face the second place team in group B and first place for group B will face the second place team in group A. The semis will be a bo3 and the third place-match/finals will be held in a bo5.
