AFs Aiming on Goals: "I want my solo queue teammates to assume that they'd win if they see me"

On the 27th, at the Gangnam Nexon Arena, the 26th day of the 2018 LCK Spring Split took place. On the 1st series of the day, Afreeca Freecs defeated KSV with a score of 2-0. AFs maintained great concentration throughout the entire series - especially whenever Baron was up. As for AFs' new ADC player, Aiming, won his very first season match with Kalista. Although he gave up a kill to the enemy early-on, he did what he should in every other teamfight after that and had contributed to his team's victory.

The following is an interview done with Aiming.

You just won your very first LCK match. How do you feel?

It feels like the late-night practices that I got with my teammates and coaches paid off. It feels great.

How did you prepare for today's match?

Because of our previous losing streak, we had practiced even more and harder than before. Our team discussed the picks and bans of today's series late into the night. I think that's how we were able to win.

You said that you were very nervous before the match. Did it get better during the game?

I honestly thought that I wasn't nervous... When I died for the first time, I started feeling it. Starting game 2, my teammates gave me a lot of advice, and I played the game in a fun way.

You played in place of Kramer - as a starter. Does it feel different from being subbed in like last time?

When subbed in, I felt like I was a relief pitcher... I did feel a lot of pressure playing as a starter, but it still felt good regardless because I felt a sense of trust from my team. They had faith in me. I actively put a lot of effort into my practice - I think that's how I earned their trust.

As a professional, please introduce yourself!

I'm very competitive, so I really, really hate losing. I want to win.

I want to be a person where... I want my solo queue teammates to immediately assume that they'd win if they see me in their team.

As an ADC, what're your strengths and weaknesses?

I'm very confident on my Xayah.

I always have the desire of wanting to become stronger than the enemy ADC. That's both my strength and weakness.

You played against a World Champion ADC today. Did you feel any pressure from that fact?

I saw myself missing CS because of the nerves... My team assured me that it'll be okay if I take things slowly, and that's when I started feeling better.

Is there a personal goal that you want to achieve?

My goal is to become the starting player. If my team is to go to Worlds, I want to be a player that is a big help to it.

Any last words?

If our team did their absolute best while we were on our previous winning streak, we would've continued it. We'll start now, and I really want to go to Worlds.
