Pokémon Korea (CEO Lim Jae-beom) announced on the 20th that it will host the '2026 Busan Transportation Corporation Battle Tournament' in partnership with the Busan Transportation Corporation.
The '2026 Busan Transportation Corporation Battle Tournament' began on the 11st and is currently holding regional qualifiers at 12 Pokémon card shops nationwide—#1 Yongsan, #2 Yeoksam, #3 Suwon, #4 Wonju, #5 Incheon, #6 Gwangju, #7 Pyeongtaek, #8 Ulsan, #9 Daegu, #10 Busan, #11 Daejeon, and #12 Mokdong—running through the 26th. The finals will be held on August 1 at BEXCO Exhibition Center 1, Hall 2B, in Busan.
Anyone can register for the regional and on-site qualifiers through online pre-registration on the official Pokémon Card Game website; walk-in registration is also available for any remaining spots.
This tournament is particularly notable for allowing players to utilize the 100 types of decks included in the MEGA 'Start Deck 100 Battle Collection,' enabling a wide range of strategies and allowing participants to fully enjoy the unique fun of the Pokémon Card Game.
On the day of the finals, an on-site qualifier will also be held, giving participants, including those who were eliminated in the regional qualifiers, another chance to compete for the final spots in the main event.
In addition, all finalists will receive a double deck case, and the winner will be awarded a trophy along with LEGO® sets featuring Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.
In addition, the venue will feature a variety of attractions for visitors, including a Busan Transportation Corporation experience zone with a train simulator, a Nintendo Switch 2 Pokémon game demo, a Pokémon art contest exhibition in collaboration with BEXCO, a 'Learn to Play' Pokémon Card Game class, a mini-game zone, and a Pokémon mini-store.
Further details regarding the '2026 Busan Transportation Corporation Battle Tournament' can be found on the special event page or the official Pokémon Card Game website.
