Netmarble announced on the 26th that it is celebrating the 100th day since the launch of its open-world RPG, 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin,' by adding a new hero, 'Elizabeth,' and launching a summer vacation-themed event.

Elizabeth, who joins the game in this update, is known in the original series as Meliodas' lover and Tristan's mother. In the game, she is implemented as a support-type hero, staying true to her role as a healer in the original work.

Elizabeth can wield grimoires, staves, and wands as weapons. When equipped with a grimoire, she restores allies' HP and increases their defense. The staff enhances the normal attacks of wind-type allies and reduces the ultimate skill MP consumption for the team. When an elemental burst is activated, the wand supports combat by resetting the cooldowns of all team members' common skills and increasing critical hit rate and penetration ability.

To celebrate the 'Elizabeth' update, Netmarble is introducing the exclusive 'Secretary Solvair' outfit and weapon costume, alongside an 'Elizabeth' pickup event.

Hero acquisition events for new and returning players have also been added. Players can earn SSR heroes by progressing through the main story: 'King' upon completing ACT 2, 'Diane' after finishing ACT 11 'Reunion,' and 'Escanor' after clearing ACT 15.

A new summer vacation-themed story event is also underway. The event features Elizabeth, Howzer, Merlin, Manny, and Clotho in a summer episode involving a boat trip to explore beaches and islands. In the event area 'Splash Island,' players can enjoy gathering, mining, and battling field monsters. Completing the new story event rewards players with Manny's swimsuit costume and Star Fragments.

The 100th-day launch anniversary attendance event runs from June 24 to July 15. During this period, players who log in can receive a total of 100 standard hero draw tickets, an SSR weapon selection chest, a large cube key bundle, and a brilliant charm potion.

A new minigame mode, 'Magic★Pop,' is also scheduled to be added. This content is played in a TPS format and offers rewards such as Seven Deadly Sins avatar boxes and brilliant bound seals.

The existing mining system is also being revamped. Netmarble explained that it has incorporated player feedback to change the mining method to a pet dispatch system, thereby reducing player fatigue. The event linked to the revamped mining system, 'Caught! Trot Trot Expedition,' will run for three weeks from June 24 to July 15.

'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' is a multi-character open-world RPG based on the 'The Seven Deadly Sins' IP, a manga series that has recorded over 55 million copies in cumulative sales worldwide. Players can explore the continent of Britannia and enjoy combat utilizing hero-tagging and combination skills.
