'The Ultimate Weapon' Lee Young-ho secured his spot in the finals on the 12th after a 4-0 perfect victory over Lee Jae-ho in the Google Play ASL Season 21 semifinals, held at the FreecUp Studio in Daechi-dong, Seoul. Lee will now face Park Sang-hyun for the championship at PlayX4 on the 24th.

In the first set on Attitude, both players opened with standard Vulture double builds. Lee Young-ho opted not to add an add-on, instead continuously producing Vultures to launch a strike at the five-Vulture timing. He successfully eliminated his opponent's Vultures and took down several SCVs before transitioning into a four-factory Goliath build.

Having suffered early losses, Lee Jae-ho attempted an attack with two tanks, but was repelled by the Goliaths. Lee Jae-ho tried to hold off the Goliaths with his own Siege Mode tanks to reach the late game, but Lee Young-ho added more Vultures and tanks, using superior spread tactics to overwhelm Lee Jae-ho and take the lead 1-0.

In the second set on Knockout, Lee Young-ho opened with a Factory double, while Lee Jae-ho went for a Barracks double. Although Lee Young-ho’s expansion was slightly slower, he infiltrated Lee Jae-ho’s main base with three Vultures to deal damage and secretly built two Starports at the 12 o'clock position. Lee Jae-ho, who had one Factory and one Starport, used a Wraith to scout the secret Starports.

Lee Young-ho utilized four Wraiths for guerrilla tactics while quickly positioning tanks at his opponent's third base. He neutralized Lee Jae-ho’s forces as they attempted to break through, bringing the score to 2-0.

In the third set on Jane Doe, both players secured their natural expansions. Lee Young-ho took the initiative by planting mines and securing favorable positioning. He was then spotted building two Starports to add Wraiths to his army. Lee Young-ho’s containment line, bolstered by his superior positioning, grew increasingly impenetrable. Ultimately, Lee Young-ho dominated the third set to reach match point at 3-0.

The fourth set on Polestar began with a standard Vulture skirmish. Lee Young-ho, having expanded slightly faster, secured his third base first. Lee Jae-ho attempted to deny the expansion with his Vultures, but Lee Young-ho soon gained the upper hand by seizing control of the center with a larger Vulture force.

Although Lee Jae-ho managed to keep pace by matching the number of expansions, his defense faltered under Lee Young-ho’s Dropship harassment, allowing his front line to be breached. Both players began massing Wraiths, but Lee Young-ho emerged victorious in the ensuing air battle, winning the game and defeating Lee Jae-ho 4-0.
