[MSI 2022] caPs' dad's message to his son: "There’s still a long way to go until the finals. I know you’ll get there. "

There’s a family member of a pro player at MSI 2022 that’s just as famous within the community, and that’s other than Michael Winther, father of Rasmus ‘caPs’ Borregaard. He’s always present at his son’s matches, and the love for his son captured the hearts of many fans around the world.

Once again, he visited Korea to cheer for his son, the last time being in 2018 for the LoL World Championships. He was once again cheering fiercely for his caPs and his team, G2 Esports. We at Inven were able to catch up with Michael, who was sitting with ‘Plumy’, a Twitch streamer who gained much recognition within the community for her interactions with G2’s jungler, Marcin ‘Jankos’ Jankowski in recent days.

After G2’s victory over T1 in the very first match of the Rumble Stage at MSI, we spoke to Michael.

He was obviously very ecstatic that G2 was able to take the win over one of the tournament favorites. He congratulated his son for G2’s victory over T1, and also sent a heartfelt message for his son. “Hi caPs. This is dad. Stay calm and focused. There’s still a long way to go until the finals. I know you’ll get there. #G2PHORIA!”

G2 defeated both T1 and RNG on day 1 and became the first team to go 2-0. Will the 'caPs dad X Plumy buff carry G2 all the way to the finals of the tournament?
