A report by Alejandro "anonimotum" Gomis, echoed minutes later by Brieuc "Wooloo" Seeger of Upcomer,  states that mid laner Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen is set to join Cloud9 ahead of the 2022 LCS Summer Split. Jensen last played for C9 in 2018, and after three seasons with Team Liquid, was left teamless for the first time in his career.

Rumblings of Cloud9 reuniting with their former mid laner began to circulate on social media when C9 jungler Robert "Blaber" Huang posted an old picture of him and Jensen when they were teammates on C9 in 2018. Jensen, who made his LCS debut under the moniker Incarnati0n, was the starting mid laner for C9 from the Summer of 2015 through the 2018 season.

Should the reunion of Cloud9 and Jensen come to fruition, the implication is that Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami would swap back to his original role of top lane after a brief mid lane stint this season, which would oust reigning LCS MVP Park "Summit" Woo-tae from the starting roster of C9. Summit carried C9 to a top 2 finish in the 2022 LCS Spring Split, but was heavily exploited by 100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses in two sweeps that resulted in C9's playoffs elimination and 4th place.

After only managing to win one post-season series against Golden Guardians, it's entirely possible that C9 are looking for a more versatile roster than the Summit-focused roster of Spring.

Another possibility is that the current C9 roster was created with the vision of Nick "LS" De Cesare as head coach, who was promptly released by the organization after only four matches in the 2022 LCS Spring Split.

No statement from Jensen or Cloud9 has been made on the potential roster move, or any other recent reports around the organization.
