Cloud9 have eliminated Golden Guardians from the 2022 LCS Spring Playoffs in a clean 3-0. GG's post-season run has come to an end while C9 will move on in the lower bracket to face the winner of Evil Geniuses vs. FlyQuest, who play on Sunday, April 10.

This was the first post-season match for Golden Guardians this season, who, as the 6th seed, started the LCS Spring Playoffs in the lower bracket. Cloud9 came into the post-season as the 2nd seed, but was swept into the lower bracket by 3rd seed 100 Thieves.

Cloud9 made a change to their roster before the series by bringing in support Jonah "Isles" Rosario into the starting lineup in place of Kim "Winsome" Dong-keon. Aside from the 2022 LCS Lock In when Winsome's travel to North America was delayed, Isles has played with Cloud9 Academy for the entirety of 2022 as he did in 2021, though he did compete with Winsome for the starting spot at the beginning of the season and is listed as the sixth man on the LCS roster.

Isles handled his LCS stage debut well, and paired with lane bullies for AD carry Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol, was able to play well on engage and ranged supports alike as C9 made quick work of Golden Guardians. Isles might have won Player of the Series if not for the incredible play of mid laner Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami on LeBlanc and a pair of Viktor games.

The loser of the other lower bracket match between FlyQuest and Evil Geniuses will join Golden Guardians in elimination from the 2022 LCS Spring Playoffs. The winner will face off against Cloud9to secure a top 3 finish in the post-season and a trip to Houston, Texas, where the last two matches will be played at NRG Stadium.
