[MSI 2021] Head coach for RNG, Tabe, unable to attend MSI due to passport issues

The head coach for Royal Never Give Up, Wong “Tabe” Pak Kan, will not be able to attend MSI.

On April 25, RNG announced their roster for the 2021 MSI. While their assistant coach, Chang “Poppy” Po-Hao was listed, Tabe was not. The reason was rather simple: His passport has expired.

In order to renew his passport, it requires him to return to Hong Kong. Currently, the mandatory quarantine period upon entry to the country is 21 days, so it’s realistically impossible for him to attend MSI, which starts on May 6. Due to such circumstances, RNG announced that Tabe will be communicating with the players online.

In the 2021 MSI, RNG is in group A. With GAM Esports (VCS) unable to attend due to travel restrictions imposed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, RNG will be competing against Unicorns of Love (LCL), and Pentanet.GG (LCO) in their group.
