On June 12th (KST), the media day for the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Summer Split was held. T1’s head coach Kim Jeong-soo spoke about the non-ADC champions that caused an issue during the Mid-Season Cup.

In the recent Mid-Season Cup, T1 and head coach Kim Jeong-soo participated and were eliminated during the group stage. There were many analyses about the reason T1 lost and a popular opinion was that it was a bad choice to have T1 bot laner Park “Teddy” Jin-seong play a non-ADC.

“I know that many people spoke of Teddy playing non-ADCs,” started Kim, “I think non-ADCs are bad so we won’t be playing them. I discussed it a lot with the coaching staff.”

Kim also reflected on T1 objectively. “I think we have a long way to go. Even in the last week, our performances weren’t that good.” He also evaluated the current state between the LCK and the LPL. “It seems that the LPL is better than the LCK, so we’re trying to accept that and work harder.”
