TSM has defeated 100 Thieves in an absolute rollercoaster ride of a best-of-five series. 100 Thieves has been eliminated from the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Playoffs, and 5th seed TSM will move on into the top 4 to face 4th seed FlyQuest in the next elimination match. The winner of that series will play the loser of 1st seed Cloud9 and 2nd seed Evil Geniuses.

The first game of the series was expected to start with TSM Mid Laner Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg getting a counter-pick on the Red Side in the Draft Phase to expose 100 Thieves' Tommy "Ryoma" Le, but Bjergsen opted for the consistent scaling of Corki. Bjergsen didn't need to smash the mid lane matchup for TSM to take a convincing game 1 victory.

100 Thieves went into game 2 picking and banning the exact same champions, stating through action that it felt the execution in-game was the problem. TSM was happy to oblige and chose the exact same composition for itself as well. 100 Thieves ended up proving its theory correct, as TSM would fall in a far-from-perfect second game to even the series at 1-1.

It would be nice to say that 100 Thieves continued its momentum in game 3 to get its second win of the series, but that is far from the truth. TSM had another strong early game, but as more and more minutes passed, the team's kryptonite of late-game decision making ended up being enough for 100 Thieves to seize control and crack a second TSM nexus.

Fortunately for TSM, late game decision making would not be a factor in game 4. TSM drafted aggressive counter-play, primarily in the form of Kalista for Top Laner Sergen "Broken Blade" Çelik and a Conqueror, full damage Rek'Sai for Jungler Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett. TSM steamrolled 100 Thieves early on, particularly in the form of depriving Top Laner Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho, to force a deciding game five.

Game 5 was made of the dreamstuff of LoL Esports fans. TSM held fast despite playing from a deficit for the entirety of the gaming, its survival in large part due to Bjergsen's incredible Zoe play. At just under 45 minutes, TSM, at a gold deficit still, won a deciding teamfight and through everything it had at the nexus. Bjergsen, the only member left standing, managed to hit the nexus for the final time just before perishing, gutting out an incredible TSM win despite a gold deficit.

TSM moves onto the top 4 with Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, and FlyQuest, but after that win, can hold its head up high and enjoy the moment of triumph in prevailing from the most exciting series of 2020 LoL Esports thus far. Bjergsen was awarded Player of the Series for his incredible performance.
